The Cautions And The Benefits Of Becoming An Affiliate |
|
"It's your key to financial freedom!"
"FINALLY! You can now quit your day job." I often hear those phrases whenever I browse through a sales page of an affiliate marketing guru who's promoting his 'latest' e-book, guide, course, etc. on affiliate marketing. Whenever these guys are referring to affiliate marketing, it's always rosy and pleasant. It's always about the benefits of becoming an affiliate that they talk about. True enough, the benefits of becoming an affiliate are MASSIVE! When it comes to convenience and profit-potential, even being an online business owner can't beat affiliate marketing in my opinion. BUT for one to think that affiliate marketing is all about profit and convenience and that there are no known cautions, I think that's quite a biased and mistaken point of view. Just like anything else, there are pros and cons in this business. Let's have a thorough look at them and hopefully this will help you decide whether you should jump into the affiliate marketing bandwagon or not. The Cautions Of Becoming An Affiliate - You are dependent on the merchant for commissions and products to promote. Without a merchants products and affiliate programs, there's no money to be made. - You only get a percentage of the sale that you have made. The rest goes to the product owner. - Sometimes, you can be a victim of affiliate commission hacking. This is especially true if you are using Clickbank.com for finding products to promote. The Benefits Of Becoming An Affiliate Whenever I'm asked what the benefits of becoming an affiliate are, 3 things immediately come to mind. What are these? Check these out ... - Convenience. You don't need to have your own website or product to make money. The thought of making money and LOTS of it, with lesser work makes affiliate marketing a BIG hit. - Infinite profit potential. I think this is, by far, the BIGGEST among the benefits of affiliate marketing. After all, you have the whole world as your audience since you're using the World Wide Web. - No need for a start up capital. With affiliate marketing, the old saying "You need to have money to make money." is NOT true. All that you'd need to get rolling is a PC with an internet connection along with your brain. In my opinion the benefits of becoming an affiliate marketer far outweigh the negative but I would strongly suggest if you are interested in being successful in the shortest amount of time that you research and partner with a reputable affiliate marketing training resource....There are many available and can be found with a Google search on "affiliate training".... |
