When to Consider Becoming an Affiliate Marketer

If you are tired of being a slave to your job, you should consider becoming an affiliate marketer.  Working a regular job can be defeating.  Someone else (your boss!) has complete control over your success.  You are constantly trying to please others, and no matter how hard you work, you only get paid the salary agreed upon by your boss.  And if you do get a bonus, then that too is determined by... you guessed it, your boss.  There is always someone in charge of you and that person decides your fate.  If you get a days work done in 4 hours, you do not get a days pay.  You get 4 hours of pay.  And if your boss decides that he or she no longer needs or desires your services, they can take away all of your income with those two dreaded little words: "You're fired."

Becoming an affiliate marketer can change all of that.  You will be the determining factor in your success.  If you pour your heart and soul into it, you will reap the rewards accordingly.  And if you want to build a part time income and still work your regular job, you can do that too.  It is completely up to you.  There are no deadlines, no set hours, and no overhead.

So what is an affiliate marketer exactly?  An affiliate marketer is basically a person who directs internet users to a merchant website.  If that person makes a purchase, the affiliate is rewarded with a commission.  Some businesses even pay commissions for sending them a lead.  A lead is when you send a potential customer to their site and that person discloses contact information.

There are great numbers of online vendors that have an affiliate program.  Becoming an affiliate is an automated process for most online companies or products.  You simply enter in your information, and you are given a unique link to use when directing traffic to the merchant site.  When a visitor clicks on your link and makes a purchase, the sale is traced to your affiliate I.D., and you receive a commission.

Having your own website is not required for becoming an affiliate.  You can send the traffic directly to the merchant website.  There are a variety of different ways to market your affiliate products that are effective and lucrative.

If you are interested in becoming an affiliate marketer, it is important that you sign up with an affiliate marketing training program so that you can avoid wasting time and money. There are many available and can be found with an internet search for
